Sri lanka! An island nation in the Indian ocean with a immense natural beauty is a true gift from the mother nature. The country is filled with amazing mountains,exotic wildlife and gorgeous beaches. What more do you want?
My time in Sri lanka was the most amazing one, I have not been to so many diverse places in just five days. I started my journey in Colombo, stayed there for one day and roamed around in the city, took a train next day and moved to Kandy which is in the central part of the country and is an amazing place for hikers and nature lovers. After hiking for a day in the Hanthana Mountain Range and enjoying the greenery I went on a road trip in the west direction towards the Hikkaduwa beach ( I wanted to go to Arugam Bay beach in the east but somehow ended up going west).
Hikkaduwa was a welcome sight with it’s resorts, restaurants and fabulous view of the ocean. The ocean water is clean as crystal and will pull you towards itself. It is an excellent place to relax, decompress, forget your worries and enjoy your time by swimming in the ocean and partying all night.
Conclusion: Sri lanka is a must visit place for a nature lovers and those who want to take a little break from their busy life.
