Which Jobs will not be affected by AI?

‘AI is everywhere’, ‘AI is taking over the world’, ‘AI will replace humans’: I am sure you must have heard these sentences in the news, movies, YouTube, and all other sources you get your information from.

AI has become the Buzzword of the 21st century, anyone who even has a little idea of what AI can do is either excited, nervous, or fearful of it, and rightly so. As my favorite comedian John Oliver said about AI, “the potential and the peril here are huge.

Now what exactly is AI? Artificial Intelligence or AI is a process that enables computer systems to perform tasks that would typically need human intelligence.

There is a genuine fear in the working community that AI is going to take away all the jobs which were done by humans. This fear is not entirely baseless as AI is not going to replace humans, but it’s for sure going to affect many jobs present today.

Which jobs will not be affected by AI?

It’s difficult to predict with certainty which jobs will not be affected by AI in the long term, as AI technology continues to advance at a rapid pace and has the potential to impact many industries and professions. However, some jobs that are less likely to be fully automated by AI soon are those that require high levels of creativity, emotional intelligence, and human interaction. These may include:

Creative professions such as artists, musicians, and writers, as AI has not yet been able to replicate human creativity and imagination.

Healthcare professionals such as doctors, nurses, and therapists, as AI can assist in diagnosis and treatment but may not replace the human element of care and empathy.

Teachers and educators, as AI is not yet able to fully replace the nuanced and complex interactions between teachers and students.

Social workers and counselors, as these professions often require emotional intelligence and empathy to support individuals in need.

Skilled trades such as electricians, plumbers, and mechanics, as these jobs often require hands-on work and problem-solving skills that are difficult to automate.

It’s important to note that even these professions may see some level of automation or augmentation with the use of AI in the future, but they are likely to be less affected than jobs that involve routine or repetitive tasks.

AI is a great opportunity, but it is also a great threat. It is important to be aware of the opportunities and dangers of AI and use all of the resources available to keep it from taking away jobs from people.
